Mind-Blowing 3-Digit Math Trick π€―
Pick any 3-digit number where the first digit is bigger than the last. Follow these steps and see the magic:
- Reverse your number (e.g., 652 β 256).
- Subtract the smaller from the larger (652 β 256 = 396).
- Reverse the result (396 β 693).
- Add them together (396 + 693 = ?).
π― Hint: The answer is always the same, no matter which number you choose!
How it works:
Let your number be 100a + 10b + c where a>c.
Reverse it: 100c + 10b + a. Subtract: (100a+10b+c) - (100c+10b+a) = 99(a-c).
Reverse that and add β always 1089!
Try these examples:
- 652 β 256 β 396 + 693 = 1089
- 731 β 137 β 594 + 495 = 1089
- 841 β 148 β 693 + 396 = 1089
- 950 β 059 β 891 + 198 = 1089
