The XYIKQPZJ Code Exploit: Rollbacks & Negative Gold Crisis
The release of the promo code XYIKQPZJ intended to reward players with a single Level Up Gold Orb. However, due to a severe security loophole in the web portal, players were able to repeatedly claim the code every two minutes, netting anywhere from 160M to 650M gold, with extreme cases reporting up to 2 Billion gold.
With the Level 110 economy overhaul pushing the cost of upgrading a single character from Level 104 to 105 to a staggering 2.3M gold, and up to 33M gold for a full upgrade to 105, this exploit completely broke the progression pacing. Scopely responded by disabling the code, launching manual account audits, and rolling back player balances to a maximum cap of 200M gold.
